Product Description
Mirrycle Road Mirror was developed exclusively to fit Shimano STI shifter/brake levers while allowing the continued comfortable use of the lever. With a minimum of included parts, the Road Mirror is ingeniously engineered to fit almost all the different STI levers. A lot of emphasis has been placed on the design of the Mirrycle Road Mirror so it blends elegantly with today's bicycle components.

When you go searching for a mirror for your road bike, you will probably find, as I did, that your choice is mostly of which bar-end mirror to get. I find those mirrors to be too low to see easily and my arm blocks their view as well.
Long ago (though I still have it) Mirrycle made a mirror that mounted onto where the cable comes out of the brake hand grip. So, it was above your hands and not down so low that you had take your eyes off the road and look down to see it. But, brake levers changed and so that product had no market. Following that, I had found a model that clamped with velcro strap around the brake handle. That was in the right place, but made the grip large and feel different and awkward.
So, I was excited to discover online that Mirrycle was making a mirror specifically designed for the Shimano STI brake levers/shifters. I bugged my local shop to get them, but they never did. FInally in January, I gave up on the local shop and decided to go online to buy, only to discover that they had been pulled from the market. Seems the original design was failing (breaking) sometimes. I kept watching and finally found one shop get them in back stock and bought it – presumably a modified design (hasn’t broken).
Installation of the mirror is pretty straight forward. It is well designed to attach to the STI handle using the features that are molded in place to hold the rubber grip in place. I have to say that Mirrycle could do their less mechanically inclined folks a favor by assembling the mirror a bit more in advance. You basically get a bag of parts. 3 screws, 6 washers, 3 plastic tubes, mirror, and a crumpled up instruction sheet. I didn’t have any trouble putting it all together in about 5 minutes with the included allen hex wrenches, but I am an engineer and enjoy such things. I am sure others might be frustrated by it.
In use, I am again very pleased to have a mirror that is easy to find in my field of view, so I can actually see cars while my eyes are on the road. You do have to play with the screw tightness a bit to get where the mirror stays in place without it being so tight that it will break when pushed hard rather than turning. I have started erring on the loose side.
I do notice that road vibration can be a bit annoying as compared to the more rigidly mounted bar-end mirrors leading to a fuzzier view – this is what prevents me giving it a full 5 star rating. Personally, I think this is a worthwhile tradeoff for being able to see it well. I know of no better mirror on the market.
It was recalled, but the new version is out there.
This is simply the best mirror for bikes with Shimano shifters. It is in the best position, large and shows a huge area. It works great with areo bars too.
Now that it is redesigned, hopefully it will not break. My old one cracked so I ordered two more today of the new one to make sure I wouldn’t be without it.
The other mirrors I’ve tried are too small to very useful.
I bought one the day before Mirrycle recalled them earlier this year. A few weeks Of use Later I find out they have been recalled. No way am I sending it back, it is just too awesome a product. Slips right on, pops right off if you want to use a different bike. I get upset when I forget to transfer it when I change bikes, so now that they are for sale again, I am buying two more. Easy to adjust and install, good view of what is behind you. If you hate the little eyeglass or helmet mounted mirrors, this is for you.

Start out with short rides until you butt gets use to the saddle. You want to take it easy for the first 10 min to warn up. After that you want to pedal at a high cadence 70-90 rpm's with a lite pressure on the pedals. That will get your cardiovascular system going and wont kill your legs. You want to be breathing hard enough to be able to talk but not sing. If you need to catch your breath or you legs start to hurt drop down a gear or two and keep going.
Get a cyclometer and keep track of you rides, increase the distance a little each week. Ride for distance not speed, you will get faster as you get stronger. Watch what you eat, a protein shake right after a ride will help build muscles.
When Toyota gets around to doing one of its famous “root cause” analyses of the Great Accelerator Recall, it should start by looking in the mirror.
You'd think that if you had a mercedes you'd drive as careful as you possibly could.
.. Anyway…
Chances are, you're going to have to return to the dealer and have them replace the side view mirror unit.

The Los Angeles Kings may have had their franchise-record winning streak come to an end the last time they took to the ice, but the playoff hopefuls figure to have a good chance of starting another one when the hapless Edmonton Oilers visit the Staples Center tonight. Monday’s 4-2 loss at Anaheim snapped a string of nine consecutive victories for Los Angeles, which currently stands fifth in the Western Conference with 75 points and is on pace to reach the postseason for the first time since 2001-02. The Kings have still won four in a row and six of their last seven home games, though, and face an Edmonton squad tonight that hasn’t prevailed on the road in two months. The Oilers suffered their 11th straight regulation defeat away from home with last night’s 3-2 besting by Anaheim, which dropped the NHL’s cellar-dwellers to 7-19-2 as the visitor this season. Edmonton’s slide ties a team mark for the longest winless drought on the road, matching a stretch of seven setbacks and four ties…

A concave mirror focuses the energy collected across the entire aperture of the mirror into a small spot. This is no different than using a magnifying glass.
On Mythbusters, the same effect was demonstrated. What failed was trying to ignite a "ship." which is different than simply starting a fire.
Since way back in December of 2008 Sanyo’s “Electromotive Hybrid Bicycle Eneloop (the energy loop motorcycle) Cycle’ has been making waves. It hit the US just this year though, in January and now it’s headed for the far-east i.e. Japan. The hybrid cycle was designed to help save energy while peddling on normal surfaces, by that I mean flat ground so that it’s able to store a bit of energy for when you’re going uphill. This will conserve your…

Windex and a soft cloth should work just fine. If you have electronics in the mirror, just spray the Windex on the cloth.
I can speak of long roadtrips from experience. My latest being a move back from Tucson, AZ to Toronto, ON (similarly on the way down), having finished with a job down there.
Use resources like Mapquest to suggest a route, though you can modify it as needed. For my move, I only used interstate highways. Good maps such as Randy-McNally also show rest stops as well, which you'll want to take advantage of. I also avoid driving through major metropolises, instead, using bypass routes to avoid heavy traffic.
Make sure your vehicle is serviced and running well, as you want to travel efficiently (and hopefully your vehicle is fuel efficient). Plan for no more than 8 hrs a day of travel. Before moving on each day, do some basic checks on your vehicle (tire pressure, oil level, etc.).
Whether you plan to have extended stopovers along the way or just resting for the night and moving on in the morning, consider doing this: when you cross over state lines, drop in at the information centers (which will not be too far from the boundary) and browse through the brochures there. They will always have coupon books available for that state (some are nationwide) for hotel discounts. Also, large roadside billboards advertise hotel rates as well (only seen this in the US). My advise is to avoid locally owned hotels and stick to well-known names (Super 8, etc.) if you are on a budget and stay in a major town as opposed to a roadside inn in the middle of nowhere. You'll also want to be within easy reach of service stations and restaurants.
Hope this helps!
Man we on this country ass road wit no exits. Smh I'm hungry!
The mirror has an angle, so the lamp is within that angle, and it reflect the lamp to you..
After spending some good time researching a bike mirror (mainly on Amazon) I kept coming back to this one. It seemed to be the best reviewed and the most recommended by the consumers online, as well as the merchants at my local bike shops. And now having seen your video on the install and just how well-suited this mirror is for any bike, I know I’ve picked the right one. Shipped out today, should be at my doorstep by Wednesday. I can’t wait!
Just screw in the adjuster on your brake lever. If there is no more adjustment then loosen the cable on the brakes themselves. (They should still be very close to the wheel when you are done)
Pick up bicycling magazines "Complete guide to bicycle maintainance and repair", it a lot easier to keep a book next to your bike stand than a computer and it's cheaper when you knock it over.

Like a lot of other posters have said, it's rather difficult to determine if certain animals recogonize themselves. Certain experiments have been done on certain apes and dolphins that concluded that these animals do indeed recogonize themselves. Other animals may have different ways of showing it, but in the end, we don't know yet. Only the animals do!

I have a dirt/gravel road driveway. My driveway crosses a small stream, and it flooded on a few occasions. The water running over the road washed away the gravel and eroded the base a little, but it was mostly stopped by the rock used in the base.
You need to take two measures to correct your problems. First, identify and correct the cause of the erosion. If you don't then any repair you make to the road will not last. Install the proper drainage that is needed. It will be worth it in the long run.
Second, it sounds as if your road might not have a proper base. The base is usually ~1 ft of a mix of large and small rock on which the driving surface is built, usually finer (2" and smaller) gravel. You could limit the addition of a good base to the damaged area. Depending on the size of the job, you could do this by hand. I've had the rock delivered to the job site, even dumped directly into the needed area.
I've included a link. Although this link is specifically about asphalt, it discusses the importance and construction of the base layer.

Easier maintenance, cheaper, not constantly thinking about gearing while riding, more efficiency in the drive train, among others. Also, for fixed-gear bikes specifically, they force you to pedal constantly, thus improving your pedaling technique, and more connectivity to the road. Also, at least for fixed gears, it's just fun in my opinion. I actually rode my Trek hybrid a couple days ago that I hadn't ridden for probably 4 months or so as I've only been riding my fixed gear, and honestly, I didn't like it anymore. This is after riding that bike for 1 1/2 years without any real complaints. There is just a special feeling about fixed gears.
