I’m working on a new edition of Kissing the Trail NW & Central Oregon, though I’m not certain when it will come out. It will be my eleventh guidebook. The first edition went out of print in 2002. Too bad (it was my previous publisher). While I’ve been out updating this book, I’ve found that, actually, most of the info is still correct and up-to-date, despite what the previous reviewer claims. Yes, there are trails like Post Canyon, Gales Creek, and some trails near Bend that need some serious revisions. However, the accuracy of the descriptions, maps, elevation profiles, directions, gps coordinates of the other 65 or so trails still works. That’s why people are paying $40 or more for used copies–it’s clearly still the best mountain bike guide for Oregon. And worthy of more than one star. The new edition will have 80 to 90 rides, including the North Umpqua epics near Crater Lake and the Scappoose freeride area near Portland. Plus more attitude and lots of new photos. Keep tabs on the progress at adventurepress.com.

Umm…Oregon doesn't have sales tax. And people fill your gas tank for you. Those seem to be the two things that people talk about when they come over.
Residents of Northern California’s Humboldt County were rocked by a magnitude-5.9 earthquake Thursday, but officials said there were no immediate reports of major injury or damage from the second large temblor to hit the area within a month. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake struck at 12:20 p.m. about 35 miles northwest of the community of Petrolia and nearly 50 miles west of Eureka. The shaking was felt within a 150-mile radius, as far north as southern Oregon and as far south as Sonoma County, according to the USGS Web site. Local officials and residents reported feeling a rolling sensation that caused items to fall from walls and shelves. Many said the movement didn’t feel nearly as severe as the magnitude-6.5 quake that struck the same region Jan. 9 and caused more than $40 million in damage and one serious injury – an elderly woman who fell and broke her hip. Eureka Fire Chief Eric Smith said crews were checking on structures that were damaged in the previous…
I think jack johnson is todays Bob Dylan. Jack johnsons voice is pretty plain, and hes not that great at guitar, but his lyrics and music is great.

Malenki has finished up the last import of the iMMAP data,
Now I will have to finish up the missing files and close that off.
Thank you all your your great job.
The next step will be the tracing of the 10million+ Logistics Plus gps points,
given the street data we have, we can now use these gps trails to determine if those roads are used. This will give us a chance to review the data.
I have started a wikipage here:
and there is a video here:
My current work is to split the points into chunks for processing. I am using basic perl stuff, any help is appreciated, you can try it yourself and do it better/faster than me. Or you can wait till it is ready.
I will be posting the chunks to archive.org asap.

Generally college towns are going to be more diverse than non-college towns. Whenever I think of culture in Oregon I think of Ashland with the Shakespeare Festival and SOU. There's a lot of art and theater there and my cousin loves to go there to shop for her vintage clothes. As for Bend (I live there) downtown is artistic and young. It's not all cowboy! I was actually surprised by the lack of country people when I moved here. Sisters is a retirement/tourist community so don't expect too much. Oh and try Eugene also – home of the UO Ducks! Portland sort of goes without saying…but I've never really spent any time there so I don't have any advice for you. But Ashland is certainly your best bet if you ask me!
Reapers Realm in Hammond is supposed to be pretty good.

1st answer is good. There are about 10 bike "types" very similar in the fitness, cross, commute, comfort etc category. If you like the fitness type they are usually some of the lighter faster models.
I understand your concern about a road bike, I've ridden them for decades and know how people feel about them. and they truly do have a limited use. That's why I have a few bikes…
A fitness bike is just that – for someone (like you) not into road bikes but wants to be able to ride hard and fast in a more upright position.
Giant FCR series looks pretty good to me. Check out some others but the Giant is a good quality bike and may be a good choice for what you want now.

Typically bonuses are taxed at the highest rate for federal and state. This is because it is a lumpsum payment instead of the standard paycheck. But it would really depend on what the 9.21% equals in actual money. Ultimately it just goes into standard income (i.e they might tax it higher now but when you actual file your taxes there is no difference between bonus & regular income).

I could literally move a mountain right now. In crying tears of joy and feeling the most amazing feeling ever. I'm just happy to be alive.
Review your most recent property tax bill. Depending upon your local clerk's information, the assessment may be on the bill. Alternatively, contact your county assessor, most likely through your local govt. listings in the phone book.
