How Can I Get A Cheap Mountain Bike But In Good Condition?

Okay, I always come up with a hobby every summer, like the last summer, I liked RC gas cars, but I realized it's so much expensive. Now, my hobby is on mountain bikes. Where can I find mountain bikes in the Philippines that are cheap (about, let's say, P2000-P3000?) but they are in good hands. And if you know someone also that has a mountain bike that's much for dirt and things like that (in the Philippines) that would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

No one else gives you that! Really good bikes too! Another point to make is this: At any price point (such as $2000) nearly all makes and models are the "best" for what you get. The only differences are, Name and components. A 2k GT for instance may have a Rock Shox fork on it and a Stumpjumper may have a Specialized fork on it and both will have all Shimano SLX components, so what do you want on the side of your fork? Dont beat yourself up on this one, go for the best bang for your buck, you WILL get a decent bike no matter at that price point.

Go to your local bike shop and ask them. No amount of advice from this website can substitute from the knowledge that they can give you. You need to make sure that the bike fits you properly and you can not get that from any on-line website. No matter what brand of bike you buy, if you get it from an actual bike shop, it will be a quality bike.

This should let you know the difference's between the two, ( check the links )if you use your mouse you can zoom in and see the difference's between the two, check the distances between the wheels and the frame on the Tri bike and it also is lower in the front too give it a more Aero dynamic effect and the frame geometry is different on the tri bike.
The Tri bike is set up for and used for Time Trailing purposes. The road bike would be better suited for riding around town and if you want to off road get a mountain bike.
