I concur with Deany. Sounds like either a comfort bike or hybrid is what you want to look for. I also agree you are best off going to a bike shop – they will fit you to the appropriate size bike and you can rest assured it is assembled properly. $250 may be a hair low, price wise, but you'll be getting a better bike.
Let your sense of style and comfort determine whether you get comfort bikes or hybrids. While not exactly to my taste, (I prefer Italian racing machines) comfort bikes come with a great sense of style, particularly if want a retro style cruiser. Hybrids, a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike, have a more up-to-date sensibility. The great thing about modern comfort bikes and hybrids is they all tend to be built of lightweight, high quality aluminium alloys. Thus, they provide good performance and high durability.
In any case, take a good long ride on each model you consider. A 10 minute spin around the shop's parking lot will not turn up fit issues. An hour or more per bike will help you know you are getting the right bike for you.

I would check into colleges or universities that have adult education programs, most do now. Do a search for Dental hygienist and medical assistant – that's you best bet.
I have almost completed LeTourneau University TEACH program through adult education. The program took me 2 years and one month.
The majority of my classes met on Wednesday night 5pm to 10,pm, the online classes were mainly 6 to 8 weeks long.
Community colleges have adult programs as well. Best wishes

Make sure you see Tantallon Castle. Breathtaking and beautiful. The castle is in ruins but provides a beautiful view to the sea. Also Glamis Castle, incredible history. Check in at any city to the visitors bureau and they will help you find the type of place you want to stay. some fairly inexpensive b and bs and you feel like you are more connected with the people. they can tell you their favorite places to stay. I'd take at least a couple of days around Edinburgh. Loch Ness is pretty far north. Loch Lomond, not so far but really pretty, you know on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond! The song. I'll never forget the man who was driving us to see Loch Lomond, singing "you take the high road and I'll take the low road and I'll be in Scotland afore ye, for me and my true love will never meet again on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond". Needs a good strong Scottish accent! Have a great time, I am very envious. I LOVE Scotland!

ISLAMABAD (PPI) – The commuters of the twin cities had to pay price of issuing challan tickets to drivers of public transport by the traffic police on Sunday.
